Fab Lab Stoughton is located in Stoughton High School, a public high school in Stoughton, Wisconsin. Fab Lab Stoughton was built and assembled during the 2012-2013 school year and opened to students in the fall of 2013. We offer courses to our 9-12 grade students, as well as workshops for community members and Summer School classes for middle level students.
Chris’s background is as a 9-12th grade Mathematics instructor. He has taught upper-level mathematics at Stoughton High School since 1999 and currently teaches AP Calculus and serves as the high school Talented and Gifted Coordinator. Chris graduated from the Fab Academy in 2013 and has attended Fab 10 in Barcelona and Fab 11 in Boston, MA.
Brad’s background is as a Career & Technical Education instructor. He has taught a variety of classes in this area in welding, woodworking, drafting, architecture and 3D Design. Brad graduated from the Fab Academy in 2013 and has attended Fab 11 in Boston, MA.
Cindy has a background as a Science instructor. She teaches a variety of science courses, including many of our Chemistry classes. Cindy attended the Fab Lab Boot Camp in the Summer of 2015 and attended Fab 11 in Boston, MA.
Ruth’ s background is in Art. She teaches a variety of art classes, including printmaking and 3D Art. Ruth attended the Fab Lab Boot Camp in the Summer of 2015 and attended Fab 11 in Boston, MA.
Dan is the head of Stoughton High School’s Band Program. He attended the Fab Lab Boot Camp in the Summer of 2016 and is the instructor of our Girls Make Guitars course.
Other Staff and Volunteers:
Mike is a retired engineer from Cummins. He is one of the founders of the Fab Lab. He volunteers his time working with students in the Lab. He loves Fab Labs, often visiting Labs in other states and countries on his vacations.
Austin is a trained filmmaker and photographer. He started as a student in the Fab Lab in 2013 to 2016. He also worked as a Summer EXCEL teaching assistant in the Fab Lab 2015-2019. Now, he works as the Technical Expert/Guru in the Fab Lab.
Bob is a retired mechanical engineer who formerly owned and operated his own engineering and manufacturing company. He still loves to learn new things in the STEM world and enjoys helping students with their projects in the Fab Lab.
